According to a study by AC, Nielson, seventy-five percent of girls with low self-esteem reported engaging in negative activities like body cutting, bullying, smoking, drinking or disordered eating. This compares to twenty-three percent of girls with high self-esteem. With your help, Project: BECOMING can make sure the girls of our community are less likely to be associated with these startling statistics. While we know this is a daunting yet rewarding task, we also are aware that it takes a village to raise our youth. Can we count on you to be a part of the village to evolve shy, insecure and vulnerable girls into the confident, knowledgeable, and resilient women of tomorrow?
